Hello! Could you introduce yourselves to our readers?
PSYCHIC FEVER: Hello, we are PSYCHIC FEVER from EXILE TRIBE.
Kokoro: Nice to meet you!
(In French)
Jimmy: I am Jimmy.
Ryoga: I am Ryoga.
Weesa: I am Weesa.
Kokoro: I am Kokoro.
Ryushin: I am Ryushin.
Ren: I am Ren.
Tsurugi: I am Tsurugi.
You just released your EP PSYCHIC File III. Can you tell us more about it?
Kokoro: Yes, the EP features four new tracks. We wanted to showcase our growth, which is why the overall mood is more mature. Gelato, for example, is a summer love song. It’s like a cool breeze on a summer night, sensual and grown-up. We really hope people will listen to it this summer.
You’re celebrating your third anniversary this year. How are you planning to mark the occasion?
Weesa: For us, performing live in Paris today feels like the perfect way to celebrate it.
You’re about to kick off a fanmeeting tour in Europe. Can you tell us a bit about that?
Ryoga: Yes, we’re holding several fanmeetings across Europe. It’s a first for us, so we’re super excited to interact with fans through Q&A sessions, games, and maybe even a few performances. It’s a great opportunity to get closer to them.
About tonight’s show (July 4th, 2025), how are you preparing for it? And how do you feel about sharing the stage with BALLISTIK BOYZ?
Jimmy: Of course we’ll bring our own performances, but it’s also a chance to showcase the strength of our label, LDH, and what Japanese groups can offer. We’ll be doing some collaborations and performing anime songs too. It’s a great opportunity to reach people who may not know us yet.
Since your last appearance at Japan Expo, you’ve achieved quite a bit. Is there anything in particular that stands out?
Kokoro: Definitely ! Earlier this year, we went on a tour in the U.S., what was one of our major goals. It was such a memorable experience. We also wrapped up our Japan tour just last month, but the U.S. tour really helped us grow as a group.
Tell us a bit more about your Japanese tour.
Ren: We recently concluded our Evolve Tour in Japan. What struck me most was how differently fans in Japan and Europe respond to certain songs. Some tracks have completely different energy depending on where we perform. It’s something we’ve learned a lot from, and it helps us tailor our setlists depending on the country.
Among all your songs, which one do you feel best represents your group’s energy?
Tsurugi: That would be Just Like Dat. It’s the song that got us noticed internationally. It’s the reason we’re here in France today and why we have so many opportunities abroad. It truly represents who we are and has helped connect people to our group.
Your outfits today are stunning. Did you have a hand in designing them?
Kokoro: Thank you! Yes, Jimmy was involved in the design.
Jimmy: That’s right! I guess I’m kind of promoting it now [laughs], but it’s part of our own brand, PCF Apparel Department. Every year, I design everything from scratch, especially to make sure the clothes are suitable for the members when they are dancing. You can definitely buy them in France. Just shop online!
Are there any upcoming projects you can share with us?
Kokoro: Yes, we’ve made a lot of announcements recently! We’re doing fanmeetings, performing at Summer Sonic Festival in Japan next month… We have events lined up every month in different countries. We’re also working on some music projects that haven’t been announced yet, so we can’t say too much, but we hope fans will keep following us!
Do you have a message for your French fans?
Kokoro: Yes! First of all, thank you so much for your warm support. I truly believe it’s thanks to you that we’ve been able to return to France and perform in Paris again. Please keep supporting us, we’ll continue to do our best to achieve our dreams and give back all the love you’ve shown us.
